This unique shopping centre was the winning entry in a design/development competition. Initially won by Balfour Beatty/Teesland it was funded and developed by Land Securities. This is the largest project undertaken by CBA in the UK and involved piling through the existing dock, protecting the listed dock wall and constructing the shopping centre above the water in the retained dock which abutted the main retail area in Hull. The spectacular architecture and significant engineering achievement ensure that this shopping centre has become a unique local landmark.
