Sustainability and 'Green' Technology

At CBA we recognise that building and construction projects make a significant impact on our environment and surroundings and that we have the opportunity to play an important role in minimising this impact.

Our Clients are increasingly becoming more aware and more committed to incorporating sustainable and ‘green’ technologies within their developments and as such we find that being able to provide the right cost advice at the right time allows informed decisions to be taken benefitting the project as a whole.

Where BREEAM is an integral requirement of the design process, we are able to apply the cost knowledge and experience that we have developed to the evaluation and assessment process.

Our cost expertise enables us to be a vital cog in the assessment system to ensure proposals are cost efficient and value for money is properly considered.

CBA have considerable experience with incorporating cost effective sustainable solutions on several projects. Some of the technologies on our projects include:-

  • Rain water harvesting
  • Solar panels
  • Wind turbines
  • Photovoltaic panels
  • Biomass heating
  • Ground source heat pumps
  • Dry plate reverse cycle heat exchangers
  • Reed beds to process surface waste water
  • Timber kits, wall panels, floor cassettes etc
  • Green roofing systems
  • M&E systems that include energy efficient plant, proximity detection and leak detection

Where any of our Clients require sustainability to be high on the agenda, CBA can easily demonstrate that we will be ready to assist where necessary to ensure all requirements are satisfied within the cost parameters set.
