90%
of CBA's professional staff - an unusually high proportion
- are qualified in their respective disciplines.
Our
specialist subsidiary, CBA Cost Engineering Services, deals
exclusively with the costing and placing of contracts for
mechanical and electrical installations.

There
are alternative approaches to any project. One of our most
important functions in the early stages is to advise our client
on which of these they should choose.
At one
level, this advice is implicit in the way we cost a particular
project.
The emphasis
we place on how much should be spent here, how much there,
stems as much from the perceived need to balance quality with
cost, as from our assesment of the labour, plant and materials
likely to be required.
But we
also have a wider capacity for advice. Our own team consists
of specialists in their respective sectors, who have worked
alongside specialists from the other professions, as well
as many contractors. We know very well who is suited to a
particular type of project and can recommend accordingly.
We are
also familiar with all the other considerations which determine
the way a project should be planned - the type of contract,
the required speed and quality of build, the nature and function
of the building itself.
Our reputation
rests on recommending the right approach, the right cost and
the right people - and our ability to do this represents real
value for money, in terms both of the service we provide and
the quality of the end building product.
