Winner of the prestigious RIBA and the Civic Trust Awards. The Saltire Centre was completed and handed over to Glasgow Caledonian University in December 2005. This building comprises 10,500ft² of 21st Century library facilities including multi-use exhibition and meeting space on the ground floor, staff and office areas at first floor and learning areas at second - fourth floor levels.

The facilities in the learning areas include remote controlled compact shelving for book access, hard wired cabling and wireless installation for internet access.
