The former St. Andrews Woollen Mill shop overlooking the 18th green of the historic Old Course was purchased by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews.

CBA were appointed to provide full QS services on the redevelopment of the site. The new scheme provides modern retail space at ground level with two levels of administrative offices for the R&A.

The successful completion of the works overcame many site difficulties including restricted access, retention of both front and rear facades, retention of part of the interior which was the site of the original Forgan golf factory (the first recorded golf club manufacturer in the world) and the Millennium Open Golf Championship which took place during the contract period.
