CBA were appointed by Coal Pension Properties Ltd. to provide full quantity surveying services for the redevelopment of the former St. Andrew Square (Main City) Bus Station and the adjoining 1960’s offices buildings.
The contract was let to Balfour Beatty resulting in the completed Harvey Nichols department store (115kft2), 24 shop units (129kft2) and a new Bus Station. The construction value of the project was in excess of £30m.
The Walk links St. Andrew Square with Elder Street (and the St. James Centre) and is the first new street planned and implemented in Edinburgh’s New Town since James Craig’s initial masterplan was completed 150 years ago. |
